Finance（English-taught Doctroal Program）
一、学科简介 Discipline Introduction
金融学院是浙江省人文社科重点研究基地和浙江省大学生校外实践示范基地；是国内第八个、浙江省首个拿到CFA协会国际认证本科项目的专业，标志着金融学专业的教学国际化跻身中国一流高校行列。2011年金融学被评为浙江省“十二五”优势专业，2016年获浙江省“十三五”优势专业。根据邱均平《中国大学及学科专业评价咨询报告2016-2017》，金融类专业在全国排名29/429位，进入全国前7%，位列浙江省属高校同类专业第1。
本博士点目前有博导5人，教授16人，副教授19人，36位教师拥有博士学位，数位教师还具有海外留学背景。我院教师中有教育部新世纪优秀人才1人，浙江省有突出贡献中青年专家1人，省新世纪“151人才工程”培养人选7人，省宣传文化系统“五个一批”人才1人，省高校中青年学科带头人3人，省教学名师3人，浙江省“之江”青年社科学者2人。
金融学院和中国人民银行杭州中心支行有科研合作，和中信证券，杭州银行等有战略合作和实习基地。
School of Finance has the key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zhejiang Province and the off campus practice demonstration base for students in Zhejiang Province. It is the eighth major in China and the first one in Zhejiang Province to obtain the CFA Institute International Certification Undergraduate Program, marking that the major Finance ranks among China's first-class universities Column. In 2011, Finance was rated as the "12th Five Year Plan" advantage major of Zhejiang Province, and in 2016, it was awarded the "13th five year plan" advantage major of Zhejiang Province. According to Qiu Junping's "China University and discipline professional evaluation and consultation report 2016-2017", financial majors ranked 29/429 in the country, entering the top 7% of the country, ranking first in similar majors of Zhejiang provincial universities.
There are 5 doctoral supervisors, 16 professors and 19 associate professors in the doctoral program. 36 teachers have doctoral degrees, and some of them have overseas study background. Among the teachers in our School, there are 1 new century excellent talent from the Ministry of education, 1 young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contribution from Zhejiang Province, 7 candidates for the "151 talent project" of Zhejiang Province, 1 "five batch" talent from the Provincial Publicity and culture system, 3 young and middle-aged discipline leaders from provincial universities, 3 famous teachers from Zhejiang Province , and 2 young social science scholars from "Zhijiang" of Zhejiang Province.
School of Finance has scientific research cooperation with Hangzhou Central Branch of the People's Bank of China, strategic cooperation and practice base with CITIC Securities and Bank of Hangzhou.
二、培养目标 Training Goal
培养适应国际市场和国际经济发展要求，具备扎实的金融学基础理论素养，掌握系统的专业知识和技能，具有较强实践能力，能够独立从事银行、证券、保险和金融监管领域的科研与实务工作，适应经济建设和社会发展的高级人才。
To cultivate high-level talents who can adapt to the requirements of international market and international economic development, have solid basic theoretical literacy of finance, master systematic professional knowledge and skills, have strong practical ability, independently engage in scientific research and practical work in the fields of banking, securities, insurance and financial supervision, and adapt to economic construction and social development.

四、教学形式 Teaching Methods
所有课程均使用英语作为教学语言。
All professional courses are English-instructed .
在指导方式上，成立国际生博士导师组，每位导师组由2-5名专业导师组成，负责制定研究计划；学术指导；检查学生在各个领域的进步等。
In terms of guidance, a supervisor group for international students is established. Each group consists of 2-5 professional professors who are responsible for formulating research plans; offering academic guidance; checking the progress of students in various fields, etc.
五、课程设置 Course Arrangement
本专业学分设置为14学分。
课程分为四大模块：
1、学位课：高级宏观经济学、高级微观经济学、高级计量经济学等；
2、必修课：中国汉语和中国概况等；
3、选修课：公司金融、国际金融、中国金融政策等；
4、学术活动：博士研究生应积极参加国内外各项学术会议和学术活动。
The credits for this program are set to 14 credits.
The course is divided into four modules:
1、Degree courses：Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Econometrics;
2、Compulsory courses：Chinese language and the outline of China, etc.;
3、Elective courses：Corporate Finance, International Finance, China’s Financial Policies, etc.;
4、Academic activities：PhD students should actively participate in various academic conferences and activities in domestic and abroad.
六、学位论文 Dissertation
博士研究生课程在修完规定学分，中期考核合格后，可进入学位论文撰写阶段，学位论文在导师的指导下由研究生本人独立完成。
After finishing the required credits and passing the mid-term assessment, the doctoral program can enter the dissertation writing stage. Under the guidance of the tutor, the dissertation is completed by the graduate students themselves.
七、毕业与学位申请 Graduation and Degree Application
博士生按规定完成要求后，将授予应用经济学博士学位。
The doctoral students will be awarded a doctor Degree in Economics after completing the requirements.

国际金融一直是我的最终目标，对掌握新概念和新技术的渴望影响了我学业生涯选择将金融学作为我来华留学的专业。2016年秋天，我有缘选择来浙江工商大学学习，在那里我开始了一段探索我职业生涯的旅程。金融学院的各项课程为我提供了技能和知识，我作为队长组织我的队员积极参与了“建行杯”第四届浙江省“互联网+”大学生创新创业大赛，荣获金奖。在浙江工商大学学习期间有幸获得奖学金，也有机会学习不同的课程以及不同的实践课程，了解中国和世界其他地区的商业活动。这和我从非洲知道的完全不同。在工商大学学习以来，我对商业的兴趣和参与度都有了很大的提高。我有幸参观了杭州知名金融机构，其中之一就是同花顺。选择来华留学，我过着一种非常独特和特别的生活，在浙江工商大学的学习生活中使我接触到了新的文化，这让我懂得了热情和积极强化的重要性。我有信心地说，我已经很好地适应并准备好在未来的中国生活中取得成就。
International Finance has always been my ultimate goal and a desire to master new concepts and techniques has influenced my choice to involve Finance as my degree. I enrolled in Gongshang University in 2016 Fall, where I embarked on a journey to peruse the fundamentals of my career. A degree in Finance provided me the skills and knowledge to fulfil my long-term ambition of managing a business in the international scenario. As a captain, I organized my team members to participate in the 4th"Jianhang Cup " Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for University Student and won the Gold Medal.
I am so grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me, and I do not regret the choices I have made in my life through those opportunities. I have lived a very unique and special life, learning a vast number of lessons along the way at Gongshang University student life, I have been in China which has helped me, exposing me to new cultures and have adapted in a way that was accepted by those cultures. that taught me the importance of enthusiasm and positive reinforcement. Due to the opportunities given to me, and the lessons I have learned throughout my life, I am confident to say that I am well-adapted and prepared to succeed and achieve in my life ahead in China.

我叫黄旭明，是金融学院金融学专业的一名在读学生，在华留学期间考过了FRM一级和CFA二级，最近刚收获了2020年度优秀来华奖学金。学习期间了解了不少中国金融市场情况，让我受益良多；学院学生竞赛资源丰富，我参与了第七届中国杭州大学生创业大赛，目前已进入复赛。我使用和应用所学的知识，在股市里也参与了实盘投资经历。学院组织的课外生活丰富多彩，羽毛球赛、写书法、练剑、弹吉他和钢琴等，我们还有幸参观了阿里巴巴等互联网企业，我希望未来能成为一名基金经理来投资中国境内和境外的股票，与学院共同成长。
My name is Maneechavakajorn Jirun, an International student in finance major from School of Finance. I have passed FRM level I and CFA level II during my study in China. Recently, I have just received Outstanding International Students in China in 2020 from CSC. School of Finance has great student competition resources, I participated in the seventh China Hangzhou University Students Entrepreneurship Competition, has entered the second round. I learned a lot about China's financial markets, which benefited me a lot. I use and apply the knowledge I have learned, and I have also participated in the real investment experience in the stock market. The extracurricular life organized by School of Finance is rich and colourful. Badminton competitions, calligraphy writing, sword training, guitar playing and piano, etc. we have also been honoured to visit Internet enterprises such as Alibaba. I hope to become a fund manager in the future to invest in stocks in China and abroad and grow together with School of a Finance.
