On October 31st, international students from Zhejiang Gongshang University（ZJSU）, along with the international students from the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), visited the global headquarters of KUKA Home. The purpose of this visit was to provide students from different countries with a deeper understanding of the charm and strength of China's furniture manufacturing industry. It also served as a rare opportunity for exchange and communication between the students from both universities.
The International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is one of the most dynamic, fastest-growing, and largest departments at BFSU. Established in 2001, the school currently has over 1,900 students, including undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and other forms of education. Among them are more than 500 international students from over 80 countries and regions, covering most of the countries involved in the Belt and Road policy.
The visit to Hangzhou is one of the activities during the Immersion Week for BFSU international students' corporate practice. Since the spring semester of 2015, it has been held once every semester for full-time undergraduate and graduate international students. The main activities include observing the company's office environment, experiencing the cultural atmosphere, and listening to experts in related fields share their insights on the company's growth. Through in-depth investigation and communication, the aim is to help international students gain a profound understanding of the competitive environment and development strategies faced by Chinese companies, and then conduct case studies based on this understanding.
By allowing international students to have close contact with companies, on one hand, it helps them gain a more comprehensive understanding of Chinese companies, and on the other hand, it enhances the international image of the companies. It also provides a seamless channel for recruiting international talents for the companies. Additionally, based on the needs of the companies, after the visit, international students can use their professional knowledge to discuss and provide solutions and reasonable suggestions for the problems raised during the communication process.
Under the guidance of the tour guide at the global headquarters of KUKA Home, the students learned about the group's more than 40 years of development history. During the visit, the students saw the production line of KUKA Home and various new types of home products. They praised KUKA Home's exquisite craftsmanship, unique design concepts, and strict quality control. In particular, KUKA Home's focus on environmental protection and health made the students feel the humanization and modernization of China's furniture manufacturing industry.
