In order to help international students better feel the joyful atmosphere of the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival and further understand Chinese culture, on September 29th,teachers from CIE and more than ten student representatives from different countries gathered together to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival.
At the beginning of the activity, Pei Bei, Dean of CIE, warmly welcomed the students and introduced the origin and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival to them. Later, the students watched the video of the Mid-Autumn Festival and had a more profound and intuitive understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Next, the students personally made a distinctive jade rabbit lantern together. As the various styles of lanterns gradually formed, the students showed satisfied smiles.
Finally, everyone tasted the delicious moon cakes together. The Mid-Autumn Festival means reunion. For international students, here they not only taste the Mid-Autumn Festival flavor, but also feel the family like warmth from the school.
After the event, international students expressed that learning Chinese culture through traditional Chinese festivals allowed them to feel and experience the infinite charm of Chinese traditional culture, and also stimulated their strong interest in learning Chinese and Chinese culture.
