On November 16th, the A Journey to Experience the Charm of the Song Dynasty Through Paintings jointly organized by the Hangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, in collaboration with the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, was successfully completed at Zhejiang Gongshang University. Eight international students from Zhejiang Gongshang University were invited to experience the traditional Chinese sport, Mushe. The event took the form of online live streaming and received over 140,000 viewers to experience it together online.



Mushe, also known as Fifteen-pin bowling, is a traditional Chinese sport that originated in the Tang Dynasty and was popular in the Song and Ming dynasties. It is a sport that can not only exercise the body but also cultivate the mind. In Mushe, participants need to accurately hit the target, which requires not only keen observation but also good coordination and endurance.



At this event, international students were enthusiastic and actively participated. They earnestly learned the basic rules and techniques of Mushe and tried to hit the target with wooden balls. Although many of them were awkward in their initial attempts, with the patience of the teachers, they gradually mastered the technique of Mushe and achieved good results.



Mushe not only allowed international students to feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture but also experience the importance of teamwork in sports; not only exercised their bodies but also improved their mental abilities.



After the event, many international students said that they had a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese sports and stronger interest in traditional Chinese culture. They hoped to have more opportunities to learn and experience traditional Chinese culture in the future.

Overall, the Mushe experience activity was a successful attempt. It not only allowed international students to better understand and experience traditional Chinese culture, but also promoted their understanding and identification of Chinese culture.It is believed that more and more international students will participate in the experience and learning of traditional Chinese culture in the future.
