In order to celebrate a peaceful, festive, and heartwarming Chinese New Year for ZJSUers who stayed on campus during the winter vacation, on February 2nd(Xiao Nian day, also known for Kitchen God Festival) the CIE held the 2024 ZISU Students New Year Celebration at the Qingfeng Canteen. International students not only feel the warm atmosphere of the Chinese New Year, but also enhance their friendship, allowing them to spend an unforgettable Chinese New Year in China.
Pei Bei, the Dean of the CIE, and the teachers from the international student affairs office participated in making dumplings with international students together for the Chinese New Year. At the celebration, ZJSUers brimmed with brilliant smiles on their faces, and a warm atmosphere permeated the entire event venue. International ZJSUers were enthusiastic and joined the dumpling making activity, learning and exchanging dumpling making skills with each other, and sharing the New Year customs of their respective countries. Despite coming from different countries and having different cultural backgrounds, at this moment, they shared the festive atmosphere of traditional Chinese festivals and also brought each other closer.
Dean Pei Bei had a friendly conversation with ZJSUers, closely caring about their learning and life in China, and encouraging them to actively participate in traditional Chinese cultural activities, better understand and experience China. At the same time, she also sent New Year gifts to ZJSUers on behalf of the College of International Education and hope that everyone can feel the university's care and warmth.
ZJSU will continue to hold various cultural activities, providing a platform for international students to showcase themselves and exchange learning, allowing them to spend a fulfilling and enjoyable time studying abroad in China.
