Notice on Scholarship Application for Chinese LanguageStudents ( Enrolled Student)
In order to further improve the internationalization of our school and create a positive learning atmosphere for international students, we hereby announce the application method of the scholarship according to the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Scholarships for Chinese Language Students of the College of International Education of Zhejiang Gongshang University".
Chapter I．Award Recipients
The current student scholarship rewards Chinese language students who have studied at our university for at least two semestersand have strong performance in all aspects. The scholarship is awarded once every semester starting from the second semester of enrollment.
Chapter II．Types of scholarships
The current student scholarship is divided into the Outstanding Student Scholarship and the HSK (Chinese Language Proficiency Test) Excellence Scholarship.
Chapter III．Scholarship level and amount
1. Outstanding Student Scholarship
(1) First-prize scholarship: 2,000 CNY.
(2) Second-prize scholarship: 1,500 CNY.
(3) Third-prize scholarship: 1,000 CNY.
2. HSK Excellence Scholarship
(1) Grand Prize: 7,000 CNY; for students who have obtained a HSK level 7 or above certificate during the study period at the university.
(2) First-prize: 4,000 CNY; for students who have obtained a HSK level certificate two levels above that obtained when first enrolled, and the new certificate must be obtained during the study period at the university and is higher than HSK level 5 (inclusive).
(3) Second-prize: 2,000 CNY; for students who have obtained a HSK level certificate one level above that obtained when first enrolled, and the new certificate must be obtained during the study period at the university and is higher than HSK level 4 (inclusive).
(4) Third-prize: 1,000 CNY; for students who have obtained a HSK level 3 or above certificate during the study period at the university.
Chinese language students can only participate in the HSK Excellence Scholarship once during their study period at our school. The HSK level certificate obtained during the evaluation semester (according to the 2021 International Chinese Education Chinese Proficiency Standards) can be used as the basis for application.
Chapter IV．Requirements for scholarship application
1. Comply with the laws and regulations of the PRC;
2. Abide by the rules and regulations of Zhejiang Gongshang University;
3.Applicants for the current student scholarship must have an attendance rate of at least 90% while studying at the university, and an average grade of good or above in final exams (the grades of make-up exams and re-study are not taken into calculation), no record of absenteeism in exams, oroutstanding performance in other aspects. Applicants for the current student scholarship must pay the tuition and accommodation fees in full before the start of the semester, otherwise the scholarship qualification will be cancelled.
Chapter V. Scholarship application method
1. International Student Scholarship Application Form (for Current students) in Chinese or English;
2. Personal statement. Write in Chinese or English. The contents include a summary of personal study in school and reasons for application;
3. Teacher's recommendation;
4. HSK level certificate, certificate of various activities (cultural and sports activities, social welfare, etc.) and commendation certificate (if any).
Chapter Vi. Other matters for attention
1. Application deadline: March 28, 2025.
2.Scholarship recipients who drop out of school for some reasons during the semester will have their scholarships terminated; if the scholarship has been granted, the student shall return a corresponding proportion based on the remaining hours of the semester. The study hours are calculated from the first day of the semester of awarding to the date of the completion of departure procedures. 30 days are equivalent to one month, and less than 30 days are calculated as one month, and one semester is calculated as five months.
3.Chinese language students shall abide by Regulations on Disciplinary Measures for International Students of Zhejiang Gongshang University. If scholarship recipients violate laws, disciplines, and school regulations, their scholarship eligibility will be cancelled, and the distribution of scholarship will be terminated or the scholarship that has already been issued will be recovered.
