5月28日，在中法建交60周年之际，我校国际生受邀参加了由杭州国际传播中心和杭州法语联盟举办的“双城运河·中法情深”活动。
On May 28th, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, international students from our school were invited to participate in the A Tale of Two Canals Closer Ties Bolster China-France Bond activity organized by the Hangzhou International Communication Center and the Alliance Française de Hangzhou.
活动当天，国际生们首先踏上了前往塘栖村的旅程。他们在枇杷林中亲手采摘着枇杷，体验着农家的辛勤与乐趣。
On the day of the event, the international students first embarked on a journey to Tangqi Village. In the loquat orchards, they experienced the hard work and joy of farming by picking loquats themselves.

结束塘栖村的旅程，国际生们来到了历史悠久的塘栖古镇，漫步在古色古香的街道上，感受着中国传统文化的独特魅力。古镇上，古朴的建筑、繁华的商铺、热闹的市场，都给他们留下了深刻的印象。此外，国际生们还观看了中国民间古老的传统艺术--皮影戏，他们被皮影戏那独特的表现形式和精湛的表演技艺深深吸引，纷纷表示，这是一种令人难以忘怀的文化体验。皮影戏那惟妙惟肖的人物形象、跌宕起伏的故事情节，以及背后所蕴含的深厚文化内涵，都让他们对中国传统文化有了更深的理解和认识。
After their journey in Tangqi Village, the students visited the historic Tangqi Ancient Town. Strolling along the quaint streets, they felt the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. The ancient town, with its simple architecture, bustling shops, and lively markets, left a deep impression on them. Additionally, they watched the traditional Chinese folk art of shadow play. The students were deeply captivated by the unique form of expression and exquisite performance skills of the shadow play, expressing that it was an unforgettable cultural experience. The lifelike characters, dramatic story-lines, and profound cultural connotations behind the shadow puppetry gave them a deeper understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture.

国际生们随后前往文创大厦，认识了中国古建筑-榫卯。它是中国文化的代表，是传统手艺的经典之作，亦是城市记忆活着的历史，是我们传送中国文化的基石。榫卯，这种无需钉子或胶水，仅凭木材间的相互咬合便能构建出稳固结构的技艺，让他们叹为观止。他们仔细观察着榫卯的每一个细节，试图理解其背后的原理与智慧。同时，他们也亲自动手尝试组装榫卯模型，感受其精妙之处。通过这次参观，国际生们体会到了中国古建筑的魅力，对中国古代人民的智慧和创造力更是赞叹不已。他们纷纷表示，榫卯不仅仅是一种建筑技艺，更是一种文化的传承与表达，是中华文明的集中体现。
The international students then went to the Cultural and Creative Building to learn about the traditional Chinese architecture technique of mortise and tenon joints. The ancient Chinese architectural tenon and mortise, serves as a representative of Chinese culture, a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship, and a living embodiment of urban history. It stands as the cornerstone of our efforts to propagate Chinese culture. The students were amazed by the technique, which creates sturdy structures without the need for nails or glue, relying solely on the interlocking of wood. They closely examined every detail of the mortise and tenon joints, trying to understand the principles and wisdom behind them. They also had the opportunity to assemble models of mortise and tenon joints themselves, appreciating their ingenuity. Through this visit, international students have experienced the charm of ancient Chinese architecture and are amazed by the wisdom and creativity of the ancient Chinese people. They all expressed that mortise and tenon joints are not only an architectural skill, but also a cultural inheritance and expression, and a concentrated embodiment of Chinese civilization.

通过这次“双城运河·中法情深”国际交流活动，国际生对中国的历史、文化、风土人情有了更加深入的了解和认识。他们纷纷表示，要把这次难忘的经历带回自己的国家，与更多的人分享中国的文化魅力，进一步促进中法两国的友谊与交流，为推动中法两国的文化交流与合作贡献自己的力量。
This A Tale of Two Canals Closer Ties Bolster China-France Bond International Exchange Event allowed the students to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese history, culture, and local customs. They expressed their intention to share this unforgettable experience with more people in their home countries, further promoting Sino-French friendship and exchange, and contributing to the cultural exchange and cooperation between China and France.
