The Summer Enrollment of Zhejiang Gongshang University in 2024

The summer program of Zhejiang Gongshang University is open to all Chinese language enthusiasts, offering language courses at different levels. By studying here, not only can you master language skills, but you will also experience the charm of Hangzhou and Chinese culture with classmates from all over the world. In the summer of 2024, registration for three types of short-term projects will be open simultaneously. Come and pick up the one you love!

I.  Chinese Language Course

（1）Project features: Strengthen basic knowledge and improve language skills.

（2）Project time: From July 1st to July 26th, 2024, every Monday to Friday from 8:50 to 12:15

（3）Teaching method: Classroom teaching.

（4）Courses: Chinese Intensive Reading,Chinese Listening, Chinese Speaking, Chinese Reading and Writing (see Attachment I)

（5）Fees: The registration fee is 400 yuan (non refundable). The tuition fee is 2400 yuan, and the accommodation fee will be paid separately.

（6）Project application: From today until May 31, 2024.

II.  Language and Culture Short-term Program

（1）Project characteristics

Chinese Language Comprehension: Emphasize the improvement of Chinese language comprehensive ability and conduct task-based teaching based on topics.

Cultural experience: Calligraphy, Tai Chi, artistic experience, panoramic China,etc.

Cultural Lectures: Seminar style learning, authentic perception of Chinese society, deepening understanding of Chinese social culture, and achieving a leap in comprehensive Chinese language proficiency.

（2）Project Time: From July 1st to July 26th, 2024, every Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 11:30am and from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

（3）Teaching method: classroom teaching+cultural experience.

（4）Course settings: see Attachment II; During the free travel process, if there are any related expenses involved, the student shall bear them.

（5）Fees: Registration fee of 400 yuan (non refundable). The tuition fee is 3200 yuan, and the accommodation fee will be paid separately.

（6）Project application: From today until May 31, 2024.

III. Business Chinese Short-term Program

（1）Project characteristics

Business Customization: Tailored for foreign business professionals or international students with this as their career development goal, with small class teaching and refined management.

Business course: Teaching by simulating business activity scenarios. Learners can accumulate specialized vocabulary in the business field, master expressions in business and workplace settings, and improve their Chinese communication and application abilities in the business environment.

Business Salon: Focusing on hot topics such as business culture, digital economy, and the development of renowned enterprises, providing learners with a broader platform for business communication.

（2）Project time: August 1st to August 28th, 2024, every Monday to Friday from 8:50 to 12:15

（3）Teaching method: Classroom teaching.

（4）Courses: Business Chinese Comprehensive Course, Business Chinese Speaking Course, Special Salon, etc. (see Attachment III)

（5） Fees: Registration fee of 400 yuan (non refundable). The tuition fee is 2400 yuan.

（6）Project application: From today until May 31, 2024.

IV.  Perceiving China - ZJSU China-US Youth Exchange Program

（1）Project characteristics

        This project aims to promote understanding and communication between Chinese and American youth, enhance friendship between the two sides. The project will combine cultural elements of China and the United States, as well as the characteristics of Hangzhou.  Through diverse forms of cross-cultural exchange activities in four weeks, youth will have a chance to learn basic Chinese language knowledge and traditional Chinese culture, understand the development of Hangzhou city, the prosperity of digital finance and e-commerce industry, and the development of China society.

Chinese Language: Basic Chinese language courses, situational teaching combined with current hot topics.

Cultural experience: Traditional Chinese culture (calligraphy, Kungfu, Hanfu, etc.), Chinese cuisine and architecture, Chinese technological innovation and development, etc.

Exchange Forum: A seminar style cultural forum combines excellent traditional Chinese culture with current hot topics, providing a platform for academic and cultural exchanges between Chinese and American youth.

（2）Project Time: From July 1st to July 26th, 2024, every Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 11:30am and from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

（3）Teaching method: classroom teaching+cultural experience.

（4）Course settings: see Attachment 4; During the free travel process, if there are any related expenses involved, the student shall bear them.

（5）Fees: Tuition fee: 3200 CNY(actual amount shall be subject to the final approval of the project); Accommodation fees: 650 CNY/month(Double Room); 250 CNY/month(Quad Room); Medical insurance: 160 CNY; additional fees will be notified if any.

（6）Project application: From today until May 31, 2024.

V.  Qualification for Summer Project Application

The applicant must meet the following conditions: be at least 18 years old; Holding a valid foreign passport; Physical and mental health, with no criminal record.

Applicants for ZJSU China-US Youth Exchange Program must hold a valid US passport.

VI.  Summer ProgramApplication Process

（1） Log in to the International Student Enrollment System, register and activate your account.

（2）Select "Summer Project", submit the required materials, and complete the online application.

（3）Online payment of registration fee (400 yuan).

*Please submit all materials to the online registration system within the application deadline. Incomplete materials or unsuccessful online registration will not be accepted. The registration fee will not be refunded regardless of whether the applicant is admitted or not.

（4）Students are required to purchase insurance on their own before coming to China and upload their credentials to the International Student Enrollment System.

（5）The Admissions Office of the College of International Education will review the applicant's application materials. After the "Application Status" in the system shows "Admitted", the admission notice (electronic version) can be downloaded from the system. Students who have confirmed their registration, please use the DingTalk app to scan the QR code below to enter (this group is not used for enrollment consultation, only accepted students who have been admitted and are waiting to register).

VII.  Precautions

（1） Please download the "DingTalk" app in advance and register for activation.

（2） 6 people form a class, and if the number of people is insufficient, the class will not be opened.

（3） The current course schedule is for reference only. Before students pay tuition fees, the College of International Education will confirm the schedule with them.

（4） After completing the course and passing the assessment, students can obtain the graduation certificate (electronic version) from the College of International Education, Zhejiang Gongshang University.
